W.I.R.E. ~ Women in Real Estate

Open to Members Only.
Women In Real Estate also known as WIRE is a CIREIA sub-group, consisting of women focusing on real estate as it pertains to women.  The focus sub-group meets on a monthly basis.  Each meeting women will bring concerns and share their real estate and business experiences to help individuals and/or the group in making wise real estate and business decisions, choices, or from making costly mistakes.  Invited speakers will talk to the group on real estate topics and business topics as it relates to women. Available upon request each session qualifies for PHP credits that relates to the speaker’s topic.

The sub group’s main focus are women issues and concerns regarding real estate and the business of real estate.

We welcome ALL female CIREIA members to join us on the first Thursday of each month.  Please register online for time and location.  Log on using your members username and password.  Go to Calendar and click on Wire.  This will take you to the registration page.

Mortgages for Investors 101 including Rehab Loan information

Beth started in the mortgage business in 1998 with GMAC Mortgage as a loan specialist.  A fter 2008 when GMAC closed retail offices in Indiana, Beth enjoys working with all borrowers on all types of loans.  This sub group answers questions about traditional as well as creative financing; credit repair; new credit laws and many other topics to help the investor as well as your buyers and tenants.

Dave Short has been in the Real Estate business over 44 years learning the pros and cons of the Central Indiana market.  Dave has flipped over 200 properties in the last 5 years.  This makes him highly qualified to lead a subgroup that focuses on investing in Real Estate with an emphasis on flipping properties. 

The subject of the Subgroup discussions uses actual projects that are in progress. This often includes the following topics:

The meeting is FREE but this is a fun place with GREAT FOOD.

We encourage everyone to help our host and tip the waitress. 

The group meets the Third Monday of every month. This is an opportunity to learn all aspects of mortgage notes. Each meeting is segmented into discussions on both performing notes and non-performing notes.

There are pitfalls and opportunities in notes. Our goal is to share knowledge and help attendees see the opportunities while avoiding the pitfalls.

During the meeting case studies are presented and workout strategies are discussed. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and deepen their understanding of the opportunities in mortgage notes.

Did you know you can become the bank and earn double digit returns investing in performing notes? If you own rental properties you might enjoy learning about this less stressful way of investing. No tenants or toilets. You are the bank and receive mortgage payments from a borrower with a verified pay history.

Have you flipped homes or considered flipping homes? You might enjoy learning how to flip mortgage notes. No contractors and much less competition than flipping. While impressive returns are possible you must be armed with proper knowledge. Not all notes are good candidates for flipping. Regular attendees of this monthly meeting should gain great insight into this exciting strategy.

Each meeting wraps up with a buy, sell or trade. Anyone in attendance may present mortgage notes for sale or trade. We encourage all to come out to The District Tap on the third Monday each month and participate. Ask questions, make suggestions and expand your knowledge of Mortgage Notes.
